Job summary

Custom Truck One Source is seeking a skilled Mechanic to service and repair truck-mounted utility equipment and heavy trucks at our Atlanta facility. You will perform PMs, diagnostics, repairs, and inspections on a range of vocational trucks, with OT opportunities based on business needs.

The role requires a high school diploma (or equivalent), vocational mechanic training preferred, a valid driver’s license, and your own tools. Competitive pay based on experience and benefits are offered.

Responsibilities

• Perform PMs, diagnostics, repair, and inspections on truck-mounted equipment.

• Document parts, services, and labor for proper job costing.
• Adhere to safety practices and participate in monthly safety meetings.

Our Atlanta facility supports equipment rentals, sales, service, mobile service, upfitting, and parts operations for customers in the utility, telecommunications, construction, forestry, and infrastructure industries.

Hiring a Service Technician / Mechanic to support our vocational and utility equipment.

Schedule

Monday – Friday,7:00 AM – 4:00 PM,Overtime available based on business needs

What you’ll work on

• PMs, diagnostics, repair & inspections
• Truck-mounted utility equipment: boom & bucket trucks, diggers, dump, service, forestry & aerial cranes

What you need

• Experience as a mechanic with aerial, construction, or heavy/light-duty trucks
• Valid driver’s license & own mechanic tools

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, repair and/or replace damaged or worn parts for variety of manufacturers of utility equipment to ensure quality standards within budget, on a variety of vocational / utility trucks and equipment see https://www.customtruck.com/
• Troubleshoot and repair a variety of medium and heavy-duty trucks such as Freightliner, Peterbilt, Ford.
• Provide repair and maintenance to diesel engines a strong background in hydraulics and electrical is a plus.
• Perform maintenance/emergency repairs on the fuel, brake, electrical and transmission systems.
• Assess, diagnose, repair and/or replace damaged or worn parts for variety of manufacturers of utility equipment to ensure quality standards are achieved.
• Prepare and maintain accurate records of parts, services and labor to track costs so vehicles can be properly priced and reflect the value of quality offered by the company.
• Submit all work/repair orders as required to a supervisor for approval to ensure budgets are maintained and costs of vehicle repairs accurately reflected.
• Perform all duties in in accordance with best practices for a safe work environment
• Attend monthly safety meetings held by Custom Truck One Source.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• High school diploma or the equivalent
• Vocational Technical School or Military Wheeled Mechanic or related training a plus
• Must hold a valid driver’s license
