Custom Truck One Source is seeking a Service Technician / Mechanic (Diesel, Hydraulics, Electrical) in Fort Worth, TX. This Full Time Non-Exempt hourly role focuses on maintenance and repair of truck-mounted utility equipment, including boom and bucket systems.

You will diagnose, repair and document service work with emphasis on safety and quality. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of experience with utility trucks, strong diesel, hydraulics and electrical knowledge, and a reliable tool set.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years of experience with utility truck equipment or heavy trucks.
• Own tools and valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, repair and/or replace damaged parts on vocational trucks and equipment.
• Perform PMs and maintenance on truck-mounted equipment (boom, bucket, etc.).
• Document repairs and parts used; maintain accurate service records.
• Submit work orders for supervisor approval and maintain budgets
• Adhere to safety practices and attend monthly safety meetings.

Hiring Mechanic / Technician with related experience to perform maintenance and repair on truck-mounted utility equipment such as Boom, Bucket, Diggers, Dump, Service, Forestry, Aerial cranes and other truck mounted equipment.

• PMs, maintenance and repair on truck-mounted utility equipment such as Boom, Bucket, Diggers, Dump, Service, Forestry and aerial cranes and other truck mounted equipment.
• Technicians work on truck chassis, diesel, hydraulics, diagnostics, electrical etc.
• Monday to Friday, Day - shift, with overtime as needed, limited Saturdays.
• Must hold a valid driver’s license and mechanics tools.

Duties:

• Assess, diagnose, repair and/or replace damaged / worn parts on a variety of vocational / utility trucks & equipment.
• Provide repair and maintenance to medium / heavy duty trucks, and background in hydraulics and electrical is a plus.
• Assess, diagnose, repair and/or replace damaged or worn parts for a variety of manufacturers of utility equipment to ensure quality standards are achieved.
• Prepare and maintain accurate records of parts, services and labor to track costs so vehicles can be properly priced and reflect the value of quality offered by the company.
• Submit all work/repair orders as required to a supervisor for approval to ensure budgets are maintained and costs of vehicle repairs accurately reflected.
• Perform all duties in accordance with best practices for a safe work environment.
• Attend monthly safety meetings held by Custom Truck One Source.
• Other duties as assigned.

Basic Skills:

• 3 years plus experience with utility truck equipment, diesel, medium or heavy truck, or related equipment.
• Computer skills and ability to document repair activity.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or the equivalent
• Vocational Technical School or Military Wheeled Mechanic or related training
• Must hold a valid driver’s license. (CDL a plus)
• Must have your own tools.
• Physical effort to move objects and tools; frequent stooping, bending, squatting, and kneeling and a high level of dexterity.
