Job summary

Custom Truck One Source seeks a Service Technician / Mechanic to support vocational and utility equipment in our Atlanta facility. You will perform PMs, diagnostics, repairs and inspections on boom/bucket trucks and related gear, with overtime as needed.

Ideal candidates bring experience with aerial/construction/heavy trucks, a valid driver's license, and your own tools. We offer competitive pay, vacation, and STEP training programs in a diverse, safety-focused team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or the equivalent
• Vocational Technical School or Military Wheeled Mechanic or related training a plus
• Must hold a valid driver’s license
• Must have your own tools

Responsibilities

• PMs, diagnostics, repair & inspections
• Truck-mounted utility equipment: boom & bucket trucks, diggers, dump, service, forestry & aerial cranes
• Assess, diagnose, repair and/or replace damaged or worn parts for various manufacturers of utility equipment to ensure quality standards within budget
• Troubleshoot and repair a variety of medium and heavy-duty trucks such as Freightliner, Peterbilt, Ford
• Provide repair and maintenance to diesel engines with hydraulics and electrical knowledge a plus
• Perform maintenance/emergency repairs on fuel, brake, electrical and transmission systems
• Prepare and maintain records of parts, services and labor to track costs
• Submit work/repair orders for supervisor approval to ensure budgets
• Adhere to safety practices and attend monthly safety meetings

What you’ll work on

Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate records of parts, services and labor to track costs so vehicles can be properly priced and reflect the value of quality offered by the company.
• Submit all work/repair orders as required to a supervisor for approval to ensure budgets are maintained and costs of vehicle repairs accurately reflected.
• Perform all duties in in accordance with best practices for a safe work environment
• Attend monthly safety meetings held by Custom Truck One Source.
