Job summary

Ingalls Shipbuilding, part of HII, seeks an experienced tool room professional to inspect tools and power equipment, recalibrate precision instruments, and manage tool issuance with proper records. 1–4 years of relevant experience is preferred.

The role is full-time in Pascagoula, MS, with no telework eligibility. You will support maintaining safe, reliable tools for shipbuilding operations.

The Role

Examine tools and portable power equipment (such as acetylene cutting torches and tips, pneumatic hammers, portable grinders, tampers, portable drills, impact wrenches, portable pumps, and pressure gages), upon return to tool room to detect damages or excessive wear and to insure that they are in suitable condition for reissue. Recalibrate precision measuring tools against standards, making simple adjustments. In addition, may issue tools and equipment from tool room and keep necessary checks and records. Experience: 1 to 4 years.
