Bay Foreman are responsible for the coordination of material movement in their assigned areas. Responsible for coordination and acceptance of material deliveries at their job site (offloading of trucks and trailers). Assure materials are properly protected. Notify customers of deliveries. Relocate material as the ship progresses through the building stages. Coordinate the material loading to the ship or assembly. Direct the movement of equipment and align equipment for back shifts as required. Assure scheduled and projected lifts are ready. Assure needed support equipment and or material is available. Assure needed real estate is clear and available. Assist Capacity Planning in relocating jigs, fixtures and portable buildings. Monitor trash/steel containers for proper contents on the ships/unit areas and dockside. Monitor and ensure that excess, deleted or out of sequence materials are identified and routed to the proper storage areas such as the warehouse or IPS.
Experience as a workleaderman and/or performing Supervisor Re-Rate duties.
