Job summary

MagTech in Savage, MN is seeking a Mechanic Technician to perform a range of motor repairs, disassembly, testing, and maintenance on assigned products. The role requires mechanical knowledge and the ability to read technical diagrams and follow procedures.

The position offers a morning shift with 40–45 hours per week. Starting pay is $21–$28 per hour, with benefits including health, dental, vision, and retirement contributions, plus paid vacation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and Technical School Certification required.
• Associate degree in Mechanics/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent preferred.
• 1–5 years motor or mechanical equipment experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform motor repairs and testing on assigned products, including disassembly, cleaning, repair, assembly, and testing.
• Analyze and troubleshoot mechanical problems using diagrams and mechanical skills.
• Complete scheduled evaluations and determine needed parts and work
• Conduct repair tests as required by company procedures.
• Order parts as necessary for each unit processed.
• Provide supervisor with daily schedule updates.
• Maintain tools and keep work area clean and organized.
• Attend training to increase product knowledge and safety awareness.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance on repair and testing equipment.
• Maintain repair efficiency per guidelines.
