Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals, Inc. is seeking a Mechanic in Fort Wayne, IN to maintain and repair a diverse fleet, including aerial work platforms, pumps, HVAC and generators. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose issues and service equipment to minimize downtime.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, 3–5 years of diesel/heavy equipment experience, and strong hydraulic and electrical system knowledge. Bilingual abilities may be required based on location.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; some trade school or equivalent training desired.
• 3–5 years of mechanic experience with diesel/heavy equipment or similar equipment preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems with troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on equipment.
• Work with a diverse fleet including Aerial Work Platforms, generators and pumps.
• Ensure safety and minimize downtime through effective servicing.
