Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a skilled Mechanic to maintain and repair a diverse fleet, including diesel engines and hydraulic/electrical systems. You will diagnose issues, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure safety standards to minimize downtime across our North American operations.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of experience, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to use mechanic tools while adapting to a fast-paced, safety-focused team environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, some trade school or equivalent training desired.
• 3 to 5 years of mechanic experience with diesel/heavy equipment strongly preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems; ability to troubleshoot effectively.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on a variety of equipment.
• Work safely to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
• Be flexible with changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
