Sunbelt Rentals, Inc. is seeking a Mechanic to perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on a wide range of equipment at locations across the U.S.

This role emphasizes safety, efficiency and teamwork with a strong focus on building skills for a career path in service or operations management. Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or GED, 3–5 years’ mechanic experience with diesel or heavy equipment, and may need to provide their own tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; some trade school or equivalent training desired.
• 3 to 5 years of mechanic experience with similar diesel equipment and/or heavy equipment or specialty lines equipment strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and diagnostics on equipment to minimize downtime.
• Make repairs on a variety of makes, models and equipment in a safe, efficient manner.
• Support fleet maintenance for aerial work platforms, generators, pumps, HVAC or oil & gas equipment as needed.
