Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Mechanic to perform preventive maintenance, diagnose issues, and repair equipment across a variety of makes and models. The role supports a safety‑driven, fast-paced environment focused on minimizing downtime.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of mechanic experience with diesel or heavy equipment, and possesses strong hydraulic and electrical troubleshooting skills. Training and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; trade school or equivalent training desired.
• 3–5 years of mechanic experience with diesel/heavy equipment or specialty lines preferred.
• Must be able to provide basic mechanic tools of the trade.
• Advanced hydraulic and electrical system knowledge with troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and diagnostics on equipment.
• Repair equipment to minimize downtime and ensure safety.
• Work on aerial work platforms, pumps, HVAC and other tools as needed.
• Adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced shop environment.
