Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Mechanic to perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on a variety of equipment. The role offers growth into service or operations management within a safety-focused team.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of heavy equipment experience, with knowledge of hydraulic/electrical systems and a willingness to work flexible priorities on a fast-paced site.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; some trade school or equivalent training desired.
• 3–5 years of mechanic experience with similar diesel/heavy equipment or specialty lines equipment strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on a variety of equipment.
• Work safely to minimize downtime and ensure proper operation of fleet.
• Operate on-site with a safety-focused, team-oriented approach; equipment includes generators, pumps, HVAC, oil/gas gear.
