Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Completion of an apprenticeship; journeyman status or equivalent training.
• Five years millwright or facilities maintenance experience prior to employment.
• Knowledge of basic machine assembly, power transmission, and actuating devices.
• Ability to estimate time for repairs and read sketches/blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Erects, installs, or relocates mechanical equipment in the facility as directed.
• Fabricates and installs guards and safety devices to protect personnel.
• Uses hand and power tools for repair parts fabrication.
• Performs welding (TIG/Arc) and brazing as required.
• Analyzes and repairs mechanical malfunctions across all departments.
• Reports safety concerns and suggests improvements to equipment.
