Savage is looking for a Mechanic Supervisor to join our team! This is a night-shift leadership and hands-on role, supporting team members and performing maintenance on Savage equipment and vehicles in our North Salt Lake Utah operation.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Act as a “working supervisor” and assist wherever needed in the mechanic shop.
• Delegate tasks based on team member skills and operational needs.
• Ensure safety rules, maintenance, and operating procedures are followed; facilitate corrective actions when necessary.
• Oversee weekly maintenance schedules.
• Supervise daily maintenance activities and team members.
• Assist in employee training.
• Manage spare parts inventory to prevent delays or failures.
• Perform inspections and maintenance audits.
• Communicate professionally with Maintenance and Operations Managers.

What You'll Need To Be Successful

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• College degree is a plus but not required.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience, preferably in industrial/maintenance settings.
• Over 3 years of experience maintaining tractors/trailers.
• Knowledge of DOT safety regulations for commercial vehicles.
• Experience planning and scheduling fleet maintenance.
• CDL A License and Air Brake Certification are pluses.
• Experience developing safety procedures.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work outdoors if needed.
• Climb ladders and use safety harnesses.
• Climb into and out of vehicle cabs.
• Lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Perform physical tasks such as climbing, crawling, and carrying.
