Job summary

Custom Truck One Source, Inc. in Cabot, AR is seeking a Mechanic - Production Upfit Utilities Equipment to join our fabrication team.

You will modify and install components on utility vehicles and tracked aerial equipment, working alongside experienced upfit technicians to ensure quality work on Terex Hi-Ranger bucket trucks and related equipment. The position is full-time, non-exempt, hourly, with a Monday–Thursday schedule from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM (4x10 hour shifts) and possible overtime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or the equivalent.
• Training or experience with diesel, medium or heavy trucks, or related equipment.
• General mechanical aptitude / knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, construction, farm, or truck.
• Must hold a valid driver’s license.
• Must have your own tools.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, repair and/or replace damaged / worn parts on a variety of vocational / utility trucks & equipment.
• Provide repair and maintenance to medium / heavy duty trucks, with hydraulics and electrical experience.
• Prepare and maintain accurate records of parts, services and labor to track costs.
• Submit all work orders as required to a supervisor for approval to ensure budgets are maintained.
• Perform all duties in accordance with safe work practices and attend monthly safety meetings.

Build Specialized Utility Equipment

Join our Cabot fabrication team and help build and customize utility equipment used by electric utility crews across the country. As a Mechanic Technician Upfitter, you will work alongside experienced upfit technicians tomodify and install componentson utility vehicles and tracked aerial equipment, such asTerex Hi-Ranger bucket trucks and specialty utility equipment.

Work Schedule

• Monday - Thursday: 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM (4 10 hour shifts)
• Friday overtime is available as needed
• Chassis Prep, Attaching, Bolting, Welding, Wiring (electrical)

Duties:

• Assess, diagnose, repair and/or replace damaged / worn parts on a variety of vocational / utility trucks & equipment.
• Provide repair and maintenance to medium / heavy duty trucks, and background in hydraulics and electrical.
• Assess, diagnose, repair and/or replace damaged or worn parts for variety of manufacturers of utility equipment to ensure quality standards are achieved.
• Prepare and maintain accurate records of parts, services and labor to track costs so vehicles can be properly priced and reflect the value of quality offered by the company.
• Submit all work/repair orders as required to a supervisor for approval to ensure budgets are maintained and costs of vehicle repairs accurately reflected.
• Perform all duties in accordance with best practices for a safe work environment.
• Attend monthly safety meetings held by Custom Truck One Source.
• Other duties as required.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or the equivalent
• Training or Experience with diesel, medium or heavy truck, or related equipment. (construction, farm, military)
• General mechanical aptitude / knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, construction, farm, or truck
• Must hold a valid driver’s license.
• Must have your own tools.
• Physical effort to move objects and tools; frequent stooping, bending, squatting, and kneeling and a high level of dexterity.
