Job summary

American Flyers is seeking A&P mechanics for their Mechanic to Pilot sponsorship program in Pompano Beach, Florida. As a selected candidate, you will work as an A&P mechanic while receiving monthly scholarships for flight training, paving your way toward becoming a pilot.

In addition to comprehensive training for pilot licenses, there's an opportunity for continued employment within the company, either as a Flight Instructor or A&P mechanic. Benefits include group medical insurance and a 401k plan.

Qualifications

• Must possess A&P certificates.
• Successful interview is required.
• Ability to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.

Responsibilities

• Conduct 50-hour and 100-hour inspections on aircraft.
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled daily maintenance.
• Handle airworthiness directives.
• Conduct powerplant and electrical troubleshooting.
• Engage in general maintenance tasks.

The American Flyers Mechanic to Pilot sponsorship program might be just what you’re looking for. Selected candidates will work as an A&P mechanic while earning monthly flight training scholarships in addition to a monthly salary.

Mechanics will earn training for the Private, Instrument, and Commercial pilot licenses, with possible extensions available to also receive certified flight instructor certificates (CFIA & CFII). Opportunities for continued employment with American Flyers as a Flight Instructor or A&P are possible upon completion of this program.
