Job summary

American Flyers offers a Mechanic to Pilot sponsorship program for aspiring A&P mechanics. Selected candidates work as an A&P mechanic while earning monthly flight training scholarships in addition to a monthly salary.

The program trains you for Private, Instrument, and Commercial pilot licenses, with potential extensions to CFIA/CFII, and opportunities to continue with American Flyers as Flight Instructor or A&P after completion.

Qualifications

• Must possess A&P certificates.
• Successful interview.
• Ability to work in the United States (we do not sponsor work visas at this time).
• Fluency in reading, writing and speaking the English language.

Responsibilities

• 50-hour, 100-hour inspections on Cessna 172, Piper100i and Piper Seminoles
• Scheduled and unscheduled daily maintenance
• Air-worthiness directives
• Powerplant and electrical troubleshooting
• General maintenance
