Job summary

Tropicana Brands Group in Bradenton, FL is seeking a Packaging Mechanic to support the UFO Maintenance team. You will operate and maintain packaging equipment, perform quality checks, and ensure materials are used correctly during production.

The role requires at least 3 years of mechanical experience, ability to read technical manuals, and willingness to be tested and certified. Candidates must be onsite full-time and legally eligible to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of mechanical experience with documentation to support it and willingness to be tested and certified.
• Good mechanical skills and knowledge of mechanical tools.
• Must be located in Bradenton, FL or surrounding area and willing to relocate for the duration of employment.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship now or in the future.
• Must be able to perform physical tasks for the duration of the shift, including lifting up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate and maintain packaging equipment to meet production schedules.
• Perform quality checks to ensure proper packaging, coding, products and other materials are correctly used in the production run.
• Perform equipment Center-lining & clean, Inspect and Lubricate (CIL) to ensure that all equipment is running at peak performance and to quality standards.
• Perform and track rapid changeover to ensure the next product is started on time and is correct.
• Effectively troubleshoot complete system, including equipment and components.
• Must be willing to help the area Planner Scheduler deliver and document maintenance work correctly & on time.
