Job summary

Tropicana Brands Group is seeking a Packaging Off Shift Supervisor for the Diversified department to lead front-line teams and drive packaging, warehousing, and shipping operations. The role emphasizes strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency on the plant floor.

The successful candidate will manage a diverse team, apply lean principles, and partner with cross-functional groups to meet the site’s operating plan.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in engineering, business, operations management, or similar fields.
• Minimum 2 years manufacturing experience; food/beverage preferred.
• Willingness for off-shift and weekend work.
• Onsite daily in Bradenton, FL at Tropicana site.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Optimize operational efficiencies across production, packaging, warehousing, and shipping.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and cost controls.
• Coordinate improvements to deliver the site annual operating plan; identify cost gaps and allocate resources.
• Develop talent through training, coaching, and performance reviews for front-line personnel.
• Directly oversee on-floor operations and measure performance (efficiency, quality, accuracy).

Supply Chain: The Supply Chain function is essential to Tropicana Brand Group’s success by enhancing operational efficiency, reducing costs, and ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality products. By improving warehouse operations, optimizing transportation routes, and refining inventory management practices, the team plays a critical role in streamlining processes. Collaborating with other departments to align strategies, the Supply Chain team ensures that Tropicana meets customer demands while maintaining a high standard of performance and cost-effectiveness. Your Next Pour: The Opportunity

We are looking to add a Packaging Off Shift Supervisor for our Diversified department team. This role will be responsible for managing all activities associated with their front-line teams, in order to positively impact the overall department/area. The Supervisor will be leading a team consisting of hourly front-line associates, and possibly salaried associates Tropicana is looking for a critical thinker with exceptional communication, influencing and relationship management skills who thrives in a fast-paced environment. Additional responsibilities include:

• Optimize operational efficiencies to support the facility’s production, packaging, warehousing, and shipping operations.
• Ensure Tropicana Brands Group financial and accounting control procedures are followed to ensure accurate inventory records are maintained.
• Identify and coordinate operations improvements necessary to deliver the site annual operating plan (AOP). Ensure cost performance gaps are identified, action plans are developed, and resources are properly allocated.
• Builds capability through effective employee relations, hiring, training, and communication for front-line hourly personnel
• Manage the performance of direct reports through performance reviews, frequent discussions, coaching, and career development action plans.
• Build and develop talent by effectively leveraging Tropicana Brands Group Career Growth and Leadership Models and the Performance Management Process: objective setting, performance and development (PDR), CDAP, people planning, 360 feedback, and competency review.
• This role requires regular presence on the plant floor
• Directly oversee operational measures including but not limited to efficiency, yield loss, product quality, inventory accuracy, transactional accuracy

The Perfect Blend: Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in manufacturing preferred preferably food/beverage experience
• Lean Six Sigma or Operational Excellence Experience preferred, demonstrated by successful completion of a major improvement project
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite applications
• Directly oversee operational measures including but not limited to CIL/CL compliance, minor stop loss, OEE/TE/RE improvement plans, SRC/RCA/BDA completion.

Foundational Ingredients: Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required. Preferably in engineering, business, operations management, or similar fields
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship now or in the future
• This role will require off-shift and weekend work
• Willingness to be onsite daily in the Tropicana [office, warehouse, manufacturing plant] in Bradenton
• Travel up to 5%
