Qualifications

• 3 years of maintenance experience, including 1 year as a qualified plumber or Millwright.
• Ability to perform a variety of maintenance and construction tasks.

Job description

Job Responsibilities:

1. Performs all phases of Millwright work, including rigging, moving, assembling, and installing machinery and equipment using block and tackle, winch, hoist, monorail, etc.
2. Lays out work from drawings or oral specifications, positions machine or equipment, and checks alignment, clearance, level, and operation.
3. Installs line shafts and power drives, and performs a wide variety of miscellaneous construction and repair work.
4. Performs all phases of plumbing and pipefitting work, including planning, laying out, installing, repairing, and maintaining all types of air, oil, water, steam, drainage, paint, and gas pipelines, along with various regulators, valves, gauges, controls, and other plumbing accessories.
5. Performs general sheet metal work by laying out and constructing a variety of sheet metal parts and equipment, making repairs as required.
6. Performs general Mason’s duties, including cement finishing, plastering, and laying building tile, bricks, rock, stone, and cement block as required in construction, repair, or maintenance of plant facilities.
7. Performs miscellaneous maintenance repair, servicing, assembly, construction, and installation duties not specifically covered in other maintenance job specifications. May direct the work of helpers.

Tools & Equipment Used:

All necessary tools and equipment and measuring instruments required to perform any of the duties required.

Experience & Other Requirements:

Three years of qualifying maintenance experience, with at least one year as a qualified plumber, pipe fitter, or qualified Millwright.
