This position involves performing all phases of millwright work, including rigging, moving, assembling, and installing machinery and equipment using tools such as block and tackle, winch, hoist, and monorail. Responsibilities also include laying out work from drawings or oral specifications, positioning machines, checking alignment, clearance, level, and operation, installing line shafts and power drives, and performing various construction and repair tasks.
Additional duties include plumbing and pipefitting, such as planning, laying out, installing, repairing, and maintaining air, oil, water, steam, drainage, and gas pipelines, along with related regulators, valves, gauges, and controls. The role also covers general sheet metal work, including laying out and constructing sheet metal parts like machine guards, ducts, tanks, and hoods, as well as performing sheet metal repairs.
Masonry duties involve cement finishing, plastering, laying tiles, bricks, rocks, stones, and cement blocks, essential for construction, repair, or maintenance of plant facilities. The position may also require miscellaneous maintenance, repair, servicing, assembly, construction, and installation tasks not specifically covered elsewhere, potentially supervising helpers.
Tools & Equipment Used: All necessary tools, equipment, and measuring instruments required for the duties.
Experience & Other Requirements: A minimum of three years of qualifying maintenance experience, including at least one year as a qualified plumber, pipefitter, or millwright.
