Job summary

The Davey Tree Expert Company is seeking a Mechanic to oversee maintenance and repairs of equipment used across three offices in Wilmington, DE and PA. The role is on-site, outdoors, and requires experience with heavy trucks and power tools. You’ll ensure vehicle and tool readiness for daily job sites.

Your daily duties include inspecting equipment, performing repairs, and keeping all gear in good working condition to minimize downtime and support project teams across locations.

Qualifications

• Experience in truck mechanical repairs, diesel engines and hydraulics.
• Ability to complete Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Preferred but not required: Valid CDL driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair office vehicles and equipment.
• Inspect and repair CDL bucket trucks, log trucks, chip trucks, and related gear.
• Properly maintain, prepare and operate all tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts.
• Support three offices in Wilmington, DE and PA locations.

Position Overview

Pay: $25-$40/hr depending on experience and qualifiations.

Oversee the maintenance, functionality and repairs of company equipment, tools and materials by performing the following duties. This would be in 3 offices Wilmington, King of Prussia and Warminster, PA any of these locations could be your home base.

Job Duties

What You’ll Do:

• Keep us rolling to our jobs by making sure that nothing is going to stop us!
• Inspect and repair office vehicles and equipment including but not limited to:
• CDL Vehicles: Bucket Trucks, Log Trucks, Chip Trucks, etc.
• Pick-Up Trucks
• Aerial Lifts
• Brush Chippers
• Mobile Equipment
• Small Engine equipment
• Properly maintain, prepare and operate all tools and equipment including tools, chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts and more.

Qualifications
