Job summary

The Davey Tree Expert Company in Gibsonia, PA is looking for a skilled Mechanic to oversee maintenance, repair and operation of field equipment and vehicles. This outdoor role keeps our fleet ready for daily tree-care work.

You’ll inspect CDL vehicles including bucket trucks, brush chippers and aerial lifts, perform diesel and hydraulic repairs, ensure safety training completion, and maintain tools. CDL is required; first aid/CPR training upon hire is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience in truck mechanical repairs, diesel engines and hydraulics.
• Must be able to complete Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course on hire.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Valid CDL driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance and repairs of company equipment and vehicles to keep operations rolling.
• Inspect and service CDL vehicles such as bucket trucks, log and chip trucks, pickups and aerial lifts.
• Properly prepare and operate tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers and small engines.

Position Overview

Oversee the maintenance, functionality and repairs of company equipment, tools and materials by performing the following duties.

Job Duties

What You’ll Do:

• Keep us rolling to our jobs by making sure that nothing is going to stop us!
• Inspect and repair office vehicles and equipment including but not limited to:
• CDL Vehicles: Bucket Trucks, Log Trucks, Chip Trucks, etc.
• Pick-Up Trucks
• Aerial Lifts
• Brush Chippers
• Mobile Equipment
• Small Engine equipment
• Properly maintain, prepare and operate all tools and equipment including tools, chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts and more.

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience in truck mechanical repairs, diesel engines, and hydraulics
