Job summary

RYAM is seeking a skilled Mechanic, Instrumentation to maintain and repair mill-wide electrical equipment and control systems. The role involves planning, installing, and repairing wiring, control fixtures, and panels, while interpreting drawings and schematics.

You will troubleshoot and service industrial controls, including DCS, valves, transmitters, and flow devices, with a focus on safety and reliability in diverse conditions and shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of five years of relevant experience.
• Ability to work rotating shifts.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to work in various conditions and temperatures indoors and outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance on mill wide electrical equipment.
• Plan, install and repair wiring, electrical fixtures, apparatus and control equipment.
• Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
• Test electrical and electronic equipment for continuity, current, voltage and resistance.
• Troubleshoot, maintain, repair industrial control systems and related devices, including DCS system.
• Install control and distribution apparatus, including switches, relays, circuit breakers, and panels.
• Troubleshoot, maintain, repair, and install control valves, pressure transmitters, and flow indication devices.

The Mechanic, Instrumentation is responsible for the maintenance for mill wide electrical equipment including preventive and routine maintenance. Will be responsible for planning, installing and repairing wiring, electrical fixtures, apparatus and control equipment.
