Salish Kootenai College is seeking a qualified heavy truck and equipment mechanic to maintain and repair vehicles used in the Highway Construction Training program. You will also instruct students in basic preventative maintenance and repair procedures to enhance training outcomes.
Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision and adapt to occasional schedule deviations while prioritizing safety and accuracy in all tasks.
Maintain and repair trucks, heavy equipment, and support vehicles used in the Highway Construction Training (HCT) program. Maintain a safe, clean work environment. Ensure safety of self, students, and others on projects and work areas. Instruct students in basic preventative maintenance and repair procedures to enhance truck driving and heavy equipment training. Must have ability to work independently with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate should be flexible, while core work hours are generally consistent, there may be infrequent exceptions as circumstances dictate.
