Job summary

Town of Colchester is seeking an experienced Mechanic II for full-time work with the Department of Public Works. You will diagnose, repair and maintain heavy equipment, emergency service vehicles, and small engines, including gasoline and diesel engines. A valid CDL is required.

Starting base pay up to $76,268 per year, DOE, with a Monday–Friday, 7AM–3PM schedule. Town provides all tools required for the job. Overtime may be available; position open until filled. Excellent benefits package.

Qualifications

• Eight+ years of related experience.
• A valid Commercial Driver’s License is required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose problems to determine the correct repair for heavy equipment, emergency service vehicles and small engines.
• Perform maintenance, diagnostics and repair across gasoline and diesel engines.
• Maintain accurate parts and labor records.
