Town of Colchester is seeking an experienced Mechanic II for full-time work with the Department of Public Works. You will diagnose, repair and maintain heavy equipment, emergency service vehicles, and small engines, including gasoline and diesel engines. A valid CDL is required.
Starting base pay up to $76,268 per year, DOE, with a Monday–Friday, 7AM–3PM schedule. Town provides all tools required for the job. Overtime may be available; position open until filled. Excellent benefits package.

Colchester's Dept. of Public Works has a full-time opportunity for an experienced Mechanic II with advanced knowledge of equipment maintenance, diagnostics and repair, to include heavy equipment, emergency service vehicles and small engine repair of gasoline and diesel-powered engines.
Successful applicants will have a minimum of eight years of related experience, the ability to diagnose specific problems to determine the correct repair, and maintain accurate parts and labor records. A valid Commercial Driver’s License is required.
Town provides all tools required to perform the job. This full-time opportunity offers work/life balance, with a Monday thru Friday, 7AM – 3PM schedule. Overtime available; occasionally required.
