Job summary

RelaDyne LLC is seeking a skilled Mechanic II in Los Angeles, CA to perform preventive maintenance, diagnose and repair diesel engines and fleet equipment, and support safe, efficient operation of our fleet. You will work with senior technicians on advanced diagnostics and maintain detailed maintenance records.

The ideal candidate has 2–4 years of diesel/heavy-duty experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to document activities clearly.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of diesel/heavy-duty maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of diesel engines, air brakes, electrical systems, and hydraulics.
• Ability to diagnose and perform intermediate repairs with minimal supervision.
• Valid driver's license and basic computer skills for documenting work.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance: oil changes, filters, inspections, fluid services.
• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, electrical, air brakes, steering, suspension, hydraulics.
• Inspect vehicles and equipment for maintenance and safety issues.
• Assist with fuel system and pump maintenance (training provided).
• Complete repairs efficiently with high-quality workmanship.
• Work with senior mechanics on complex diagnostics and major repairs.
• Accurately complete work orders, records and inspection reports.
• Follow DOT, OSHA, and company safety policies.
• Maintain a clean, organized, safe workspace; respond to roadside calls.
• Participate in ongoing training to stay current with equipment.
• Perform other duties to support fleet operations.

We're looking for a skilled and dependableMechanic IIto help keep our fleet operating safely and efficiently. In this role, you'll perform preventive maintenance, diagnose and repair mechanical issues, and support the maintenance of diesel trucks, trailers, fuel trucks, and other fleet equipment. You'll work independently on routine repairs while collaborating with senior technicians on more advanced diagnostics and repairs.

What You'll Do

• Perform preventive maintenance, including oil changes, filter replacements, inspections, and fluid services.
• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, electrical systems, air brakes, steering, suspension, and hydraulic systems.
• Inspect vehicles and equipment to identify maintenance and safety concerns.

• Work alongside senior mechanics on complex diagnostics and major repairs.

• Respond to roadside service calls as needed.
• Participate in ongoing training to stay current on equipment and industry best practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support fleet operations.

What You'll Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two to four years of experience maintaining and repairing diesel or heavy-duty vehicles.
• Working knowledge of diesel engines, air brake systems, electrical systems, and hydraulics.
• Ability to diagnose and complete intermediate-level repairs with minimal supervision.
• Valid driver's license.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to document maintenance activities accurately.
• Experience with fuel trucks or petroleum equipment is a plus but not required.
