Chaney Enterprises is seeking a skilled Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain a diverse range of fleet and stationary equipment, including trucks, heavy machinery, hydraulic systems, and welding gear. The role involves supervising a Mechanic's Helper, performing inspections, and ensuring maintenance records are accurate, while responding to breakdowns and staying within safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Diagnose and repair fleet vehicles and stationary equipment to company standards.
• Proactively identify issues and coordinate repairs with the Manager and team.
• Supervise and guide a Mechanic's Helper.
• Conduct required inspections and complete maintenance documentation accurately.
• Respond to road calls and on-site equipment breakdowns as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment.
• Follow all safety and environmental regulations; report concerns promptly.

Join our team as a skilled Mechanic responsible for keeping our fleet and equipment running at peak performance. You'll diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of automotive and stationary equipment - including trucks, tractor-trailers, heavy equipment, hydraulic systems, air compressors, and welding equipment.

Essential Functions

• Diagnose and repair fleet vehicles and stationary equipment to company standards.
• Proactively identify issues and coordinate repairs with the Manager and team.
• Supervise and guide a Mechanic's Helper.
• Conduct required inspections and complete all maintenance documentation accurately.
• Respond to road calls and on-site equipment breakdowns as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment.
• Follow all safety and environmental regulations; report concerns promptly.
• Other duties as assigned.

Additional Duties

• Pick up equipment or supplies as needed.
• Share knowledge by training fellow employees.

Job Specifications:

Work Environment:

• Indoor shop and outdoor field work.
• Exposure to dust, fumes, and chemicals (fuel, grease, oil).
• Close proximity to moving mechanical parts.
• Moderate to loud noise levels.

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to handle heavy materials, including lifting up to 100 lbs. and pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs.
