Job summary

RelaDyne is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our Los Angeles team. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose and repair diesel engines and hydraulic systems, and ensure safety and quality in every task.

With 2–4 years of hands‑on experience, you’ll work on freight and fleet vehicles, document work orders, and collaborate with senior mechanics on complex diagnostics while upholding DOT/OSHA safety policies.

Qualifications

• Two to four years of experience maintaining and repairing diesel or heavy‑duty vehicles.
• Working knowledge of diesel engines, air brake systems, electrical systems, and hydraulics.
• Ability to diagnose and complete intermediate‑level repairs with minimal supervision.
• Valid driver's license and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, including oil changes, filter replacements, inspections, and fluid services.
• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, electrical systems, air brakes, steering, suspension, and hydraulic systems.
• Inspect vehicles and equipment to identify maintenance and safety concerns.
• Assist with maintenance and repairs of fuel systems and pumps (training provided).
• Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining high‑quality workmanship.
• Work alongside senior mechanics on complex diagnostics and major repairs.
• Accurately complete work orders, maintenance records, and inspection reports.
• Follow all DOT, OSHA, and company safety policies and procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Respond to roadside service calls as needed.
