Job summary

ResourceMFG in Houston, TX is seeking a Mechanic II to diagnose and repair mechanical equipment on a Monday–Friday schedule, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM. The role focuses on preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime.

You will use diagnostic instruments and precision measuring tools, read manuals and schematics, and maintain accurate maintenance records while following all safety procedures. Collaboration with senior mechanics is expected.

Qualifications

• Ability to independently diagnose and repair moderately complex equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, schematics, and specifications.
• Experience using diagnostic tools and precision measuring equipment.

Mechanic II

Pay: $22.00 – $27.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Duties:

Diagnose and repair mechanical equipment and systems

Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities

Troubleshoot and repair:

• Mechanical systems
• Hydraulic systems
• Pneumatic systems
• Power transmission equipment

1. Disassemble, repair, rebuild, adjust, and reassemble complex machinery and components
2. Utilize diagnostic instruments, precision measuring devices, and specialized tools
3. Conduct equipment inspections and post-repair operational testing

Read and interpret:

• Maintenance manuals
• Mechanical drawings
• Schematics
• Manufacturer specifications

Identify recurring equipment issues and recommend long-term corrective solutions

Assist with equipment installations, modifications, upgrades, and special projects

Provide technical guidance and support to less-experienced mechanics

Maintain accurate maintenance records and follow all safety procedures

Required:
