Salary Range: Grade U5 $25.93 - $32.93, Starting Salary $25.93

Division – Section – Unit: Operations & Maintenance / Fields Point

Shift and Days: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday

Location: Providence

Restrictions: None

Position Covered by Bargaining Unit Agreement: Yes, Laborers’ International Local 1033

Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and general maintenance and repair on plant and facility equipment and machines.
• Install, maintain, and repair machines and equipment in plants and related facilities.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on pumps, motors, hydraulic systems, and related equipment.
• Utilize skills in plumbing, pipefitting, electronics, welding, small-engine repair, and other trades.
• Operate various tools and equipment for maintenance and repair tasks.
• Complete work orders and documentation related to daily maintenance and repairs.
• Inspect plant and facilities for mechanical and equipment issues.
• Collaborate with other staff such as electricians, process monitors, and instrumentation technicians.
• Perform other similar duties as required.

Qualifications and Requirements

• High School Diploma or G.E.D., and at least one year of maintenance experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid driver’s license in good standing.
• Grade I Wastewater Operator License required within one year of employment.
