Hours:
Monday-Friday; 3:00pm-11:30pm; 1 in 9 weekends/holidays rotation
About The Job
The Mechanic completes work orders submitted from hospital staff. Repairs and maintains hospital mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment through the facility.
What We Are Looking For
Education [formal]:
High school education degree or equivalent .
Post secondary education or formal technical training highly desirable.
Experience:
Preferred three to four years experience as building maintenance, mechanic, or Millwright.
Special Skills and Competencies:
Mechanical aptitude.
Basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
Proficiency in interpreting drawing, details and specifications
Working knowledge of codes (UBC and local)
Valid drivers license required.
Able to work under stressful conditions.
Must be able to wear appropriate mask and be fit tested on an annual basis.
