Qualifications

• 3-4 years experience in building maintenance, mechanic, or Millwright preferred.
• Ability to work under stressful conditions and wear appropriate safety gear.

Responsibilities

About The Job

The Mechanic completes work orders submitted from hospital staff. Repairs and maintains hospital mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment throughout the facility.

What We Are Looking For

Education [formal]:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Post-secondary education or formal technical training highly desirable

Experience:

• Preferred three to four years experience in building maintenance, as a mechanic, or Millwright

Special Skills and Competencies:

• Mechanical aptitude
• Basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems
• Proficiency in interpreting drawings, details, and specifications
• Working knowledge of codes (UBC and local)
• Valid driver’s license required
• Able to work under stressful conditions
• Must be able to wear appropriate mask and be fit tested annually
