Job summary

Tradebe Environmental Services is seeking a Mechanic Helper in Meriden, CT. The role supports maintenance operations, keeps parts organized, and assists mechanics to keep plant operations running safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities include stocking and delivering parts, inspecting materials, and maintaining inventory in the parts room while following safety policies. This entry-level position offers growth in an industrial setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work-related experience.
• Experience in an industrial maintenance, repair shop, warehouse, or parts room environment.
• Forklift operation experience; forklift certification is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand or walk for extended periods, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to follow directions, read maps, work independently, and safely navigate a large industrial facility.

• Pick up and deliver parts, materials, and supplies from vendors and dealerships.
• Receive, inspect, organize, and store incoming parts and maintenance materials.
• Maintain parts inventory, stock levels, and accurate records within the parts room.
• Perform housekeeping and general upkeep of the shop, yard, equipment, and material staging areas.
• Assist mechanics with equipment inspections, repairs, and maintenance support activities.
• Operate forklifts, lift trucks, and powered lift equipment as needed.
• Follow all safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements to maintain a safe work environment.
• Other duties as assigned.

Do you have what it takes?
