Job summary

Tradebe Environmental Services in Meriden, CT is seeking a Wastewater Treatment Operator for 2nd shift. You will operate and monitor treatment equipment, transfer wastewater, collect samples, and maintain logs to ensure safe and compliant operations.

This role is outdoors, hands-on, requires physical fitness, and offers comprehensive health benefits, a 401(k) match, and ongoing training including potential license support.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
• Comfortable working independently and outdoors in all weather.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly.
• Willingness to obtain Grade 1 Industrial Wastewater Treatment license (we’ll help!).
• Able to pass a pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check.
• Current state wastewater license is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Transfer wastewater from vehicles to storage tanks
• Move material between tanks and systems
• Operate clarifier and filter-press systems
• Collect and test samples using lab equipment
• Calibrate and inspect facility instruments
• Maintain accurate logs following OSHA requirements
• Comply with all safety and environmental procedures
• Other duties as assigned

• Schedule: Monday-Friday 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM & 1 weekend every 4 weeks (Saturday & Sunday 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM)
