Job Location: UDP Mt Pleasant Transfer Station - Mount Pleasant, TN 38474

Unified Disposal Partners is looking for a full time diesel mechanic. Must be familiar with working on commercial trucks such as trailers, roll off, and front load trucks.

Hours are Monday through Saturday.

Job Duties
  • Works under limited supervision and selects from written instructions and established procedures to accomplish assigned tasks.
  • Performs inspection, diagnosis and repair of electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on vehicles and equipment.
  • Utilizes vehicle computer electronics systems to interpret failures and assign repairs.
  • Perform all work within standard repair times.
  • Conducts safety checks on vehicles.
  • Performs repairs and preventive maintenance services.
  • Reviews, completes or assigns repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.
  • Performs service calls for emergency breakdowns.
Qualifications
  • Mechanics typically work in garages and should have good communication skills, problem-solving abilities, physical strength, and stamina.
  • They should also have a high school diploma or GED, and certification from a vocational school or apprenticeship is a plus.
  • Must have 2 years experience working with Commercial truck vehicles.
  • A valid Driver's License.
  • Successfully pass a drug screening and background check.
