Position: Mechanic, Class 8

As a Mechanic, Class 8, you will build, rebuild, and repair all parts of company equipment based on departmental needs.

Essential Functions & Requirements:

• Prioritize health and safety by adhering to policies and maintaining safe practices
• Build, rebuild, and repair all parts of company equipment as needed
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic breakdowns
• Read precision instruments such as voltmeters and multimeters
• Perform general equipment maintenance
• Use basic MIG welding for repairs when applicable
• Operate equipment for repairs and installation
• Comply with all safety procedures and guidelines
• Support team with additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1+ years of truck trailer maintenance experience
• Chauffer's License (required)
• CDL (preferred)

Competencies:

• Ability to work safely and alertly
• Proficiency with maintenance tools and systems on trucks
• Knowledge of DOT and OSHA regulations
• Pass a Motor Vehicle Record search
• Reliable attendance
