Job summary

Capital Equipment is seeking an experienced equipment mechanic for our California, MO location. You will maintain and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on a variety of heavy equipment, and assist senior mechanics.

Qualifications

• Must have your own tools.
• Field tech experience.
• Welding experience is a plus.
• Proficient with diagnostic tools such as Davie and TEXA.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including some weekends.
• Must pass pre-employment physical, drug/alcohol screen, and background check.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on heavy equipment.
• Perform corrective and preventative maintenance on heavy equipment.
• Perform safety checks on equipment/heavy equipment.
• Assist senior mechanics.
• Change brakes and tires.
• Troubleshoot and repair engine and transmission issues.
• Estimate time and material costs on repairs and request new parts.
• Maintain a clean and safe workstation in compliance with OSHA standards.
• Other duties as assigned.
