Job summary

Capital Sand Co Inc in Jefferson City, MO is seeking a Maintenance/Mechanic Technician to weld, fabricate, and perform preventive maintenance on our heavy equipment.

You’ll read welding blueprints, operate grinders, drill presses, brakes, and flame cutters, and service mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems.

Must lift up to 50 lbs, work outdoors in all weather, and be willing to overtime nights or weekends; we offer competitive wages and benefits.

Qualifications

• General maintenance on heavy equipment and machinery.
• Welding experience and ability to read welding blueprints.
• Mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel system knowledge.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate outdoors in all weather.
• Capable of basic repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Willingness to work overtime, nights, and weekends as needed.
• Reliable transportation and a valid pre-employment screening.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret welding blueprints and symbols.
• Operate fabrication machines: grinders, drill presses, brakes, rolls, shears, flame cutters.
• Maintain and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on heavy equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance and safety checks.
• Estimate time and material costs for repairs and request parts.
• Keep workstation clean and compliant with OSHA standards.
• Lift/move up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in all weather conditions.
