REPORTS TO : Assist Foreman - Shop
DEPARTMENT NAME : Transportation
JOB SUMMARY (2-3 sentences) : Provides repair and maintenance of gas and diesel engines. Hiring rate of pay for this job has been set at SCH008, step 9.
PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS : List, in the order of time spent, the essential tasks performed by the position. Employees may be assigned additional duties by management as required.

Perform maintenance and repair work while adhering to federal, state and local regulations.

Conducts the inspections and performance preventative maintenance.

Repairs and replaces broken or worn parts; knowledge of automotive air conditioning systems.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS : “ Education Requirements” refers to job specific training and education required for entry into the position.
High School or GED.
LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, AND REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED : “ Licenses, Certifications, and Registrations” refers to professional, state, or federal licenses, certifications, or registrations required to enter the position.
Current Tennessee Driver’s License required.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS : “ Experience Requirements” refers to the amount of work experience that is required for entry into the position that would result in reasonable expectation that the person can perform the tasks required by the position.
Minimum of two years’ applicable experience in maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing gas and diesel vehicles. Graduation from an accredited automotive training program in lieu of experience.
