Job Summary:

The Mechanic Assistant will assist the Head Mechanic/Equipment Manager in maintaining, repairing, and ensuring all golf course equipment and golf shop carts are in good working order.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Operate equipment such as nylon line trimmers, chain saws, walking/riding mowers, tees, rough, approach, collar, backhoes, tractors, rototillers, aerifiers, top-dressers, etc.
• Assist in establishing preventive maintenance programs for all equipment, including golf shop carts.
• Help maintain adequate inventory levels of petroleum products, replacement parts, and shop supplies as directed by the Golf Course Maintenance leadership.
• Coordinate with the golf course maintenance staff to communicate equipment repair needs effectively.

About You:

• Minimum of 2 years of golf course mechanic experience with small engine repairs required.
• Technical mechanical training or schooling preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
