Job summary

Lee Machinery Movers Inc in Pontiac, MI is seeking an onsite Maintenance Technician to perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on fleet vehicles and equipment. You will assist lead mechanics, keep the shop organized, and help manage parts inventory in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, at least 1 year of mechanic experience, strong communication, problem-solving skills, and basic computer abilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 1+ years of experience with mechanics/wrenching.
• Self-motivated and able to keep up in fast paced setting.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to receive constructive criticism.
• Physical stamina and dexterity to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Complete preventative maintenance and minor repairs on vehicles and equipment (brakes, oil changes, greasing, etc.).
• Assist lead mechanics with in-depth repairs.
• Complete assignments efficiently and with accuracy.
• Keep the mechanics bay neat and organized.
• Assist with maintaining the inventory of parts and supplies.
• Participate in on-the-job training as needed.

This is an onsite position that requires the selected candidate to be onsite 5 days per week in Pontiac, Michigan.
