IRONCLAD Powered by Mersino in Texas Midland seeks a Mechanic to maintain, service, and repair the company’s mechanical equipment including pumps, generators, and related gear.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Degree/certificate in diesel or heavy-duty repairs preferred.
• Strong planning and organizational skills for multitasking.
• Proficient with modern diagnostic technology to service equipment.

Responsibilities

• Service, repair, and maintain the company’s fleet and mechanical equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns and perform repairs.
• Complete servicing and maintenance on all equipment.
• Perform quality checks on repaired equipment.
• Disassemble/assemble pumping equipment and mechanisms as needed.
• Repair and maintain submersible and centrifugal pumps and generators.
• Document maintenance and repair work and keep records up to date.
• Keep work area clean and organized to improve shop operations.
• Maintain accurate service records for all equipment.
• Dispose of hazardous materials per regulations and company policy.
• Adhere to environmental, health, and safety standards and the Mersino Way.

About The Role

The primary responsibility of the Mechanic is to maintain, service, and repair the company’s mechanical equipment, including pumps, generators, and related equipment.

What You’ll Do

• Service, repair, and maintain the company’s fleet and mechanical equipment
• Troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns and execute necessary repairs
• Complete necessary service and maintenance on all equipment
• Perform quality checks on repaired equipment
• Perform manual disassembly and assembly of pumping equipment and mechanisms
• Repair and maintain submersible and centrifugal pumps as well as generators
• Maintain service order process, including providing descriptions of repairs on maintenance on mechanical equipment's; file appropriate documentation as required
• Keep work area clean and organized for enhanced shop operations
• Maintain accurate service records on all equipment serviced
• Dispose of hazardous materials in compliance with company and regulatory agency requirements
• Adhere to applicable company and regulatory agency environmental, health and safety standards
• Ensure that The Mersino Way is a guiding document in all daily activities

Qualifications

What You’ll Bring:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; experience in the service and repair of large equipment preferred
• Degree or certificate in diesel or heavy-duty repairs or related field desired
• Planning and organizational skills in handling multiple projects
• Proficient in utilizing current technology to diagnose and repair mechanical equipment

• Skilled in use of various tools used to maintain and repair mechanical equipment
• Ability to read and interpret assembly and repair instructions, manuals and schematics

• Strongly self-motivated, ability to perform tasks with little or no direction
• Required intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward
