Qualifications

• 4+ years verifiable related experience in mechanical maintenance.
• Proficiency in two or more of the listed skills (instrumentation, mechanical, plumbing, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, metal fabrication, boiler repairs and operation, ammonia system maintenance, pump rebuilds, lathe and milling).
• Ability to read, write, and speak English and keep records of daily repairs and work performed.
• Able to pass a pre-employment drug test and work extended schedule including weekends during the fresh pack season.

Responsibilities

• Observes mechanical devices in operation and determines root cause of failures and needed repairs.
• Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove, replace and repair defective parts.
• Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.
• Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.
• Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments.
