The Platte County Road & Bridge Department is seeking a fleet mechanic and repair specialist for full-time employment. The role involves preventative maintenance, diagnostics, safety compliance, and emergency roadside repairs, typically Monday through Thursday, 6:30 am to 4:30 pm.

The Platte County Road & Bridge Department will accept applications for a "fleet mechanic and repair specialist" until filled. This full‑time position is generally 40 hours a week, Monday – Thursday from 6:30 am to 4:30 pm. Pay starts at $3,500 – $3,700 per month. Benefits include medical, comp time for any hours worked over 40 a week, vacation accrual of 8 hours a month, 8 hours sick time per month, retirement benefits, and a good work environment.
The Platte County Road and Bridge vehicle fleet includes 14 pickups, 5 semi trucks, 6 road graders, 2 tractors, 11 trailers of various types, 14 other pieces of equipment including a bucket truck, 2 loaders, 1 backhoe, and various types and styles of plows and rollers.
