Job Description: Diesel and Pump Mechanic

Job Responsibilities

1. Inspect and diagnose mechanical and electrical problems with rental equipment.
2. Repair and/or replace defective parts, components, or systems.
3. Test parts and systems to ensure proper performance.
4. Perform regular maintenance such as oil changes, lubrication, and filter replacements.
5. Adjust, align, and calibrate systems for proper functioning.
6. Clean, lubricate, and perform other maintenance tasks.
7. Troubleshoot and repair engines and pumps.
8. Provide customer service and explain repair needs and processes.

Job Requirements

• Possess a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Formal mechanic training from a trade school or accredited institution.
• Proven experience troubleshooting and repairing diesel engines.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 70 lbs.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
