Job summary

AMR (Abbott EMS) is hiring a Full-Time Automotive Mechanic Associate in Kentucky to maintain and ensure the safety of our fleet across multiple locations. The role supports ground operations, delivers high-quality transportation services to patients, and reports to the Lead Technician.

The position requires automotive experience or vocational training, a basic personal tool set, a valid driver's license, and a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Automotive experience or vocational training preferred.
• Must have a basic set of personal tools.
• Must have a current valid driver's license.
• Must have a high school diploma, or equivalent education.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance services including mechanical inspections, screening and repairs and provide regular statuses to the Lead Technician.
• Manage inventory checks to ensure stock of supplies and equipment, update the equipment tracking log, place replacement requests and document part expenditures.
• Document service paperwork and OSHA safety guidelines and adhere to policies and procedures while complying with information security standards.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment for the ground ambulance maintenance team and ground crew.
• Communicate effectively to coordinate efforts between departments, vendors and team members.
• Collaborate with allied health and public safety personnel and fellow mechanics and operations team.

We're hiring a Mechanic Associate responsible for the overall maintenance and safety of our fleet across multiple locations within the AMR (Abbott EMS) company. This technician will be qualified to support our ground Operation.. This is a key role to ensure our team can safely maintain and deliver timely and high-quality transportation services, care and customer service to patients.

Responsibilities:

• Mechanic Associate will perform maintenance services including mechanical inspections, screening, repairs and provide regular statuses to the Lead Technician.
• Manage inventory checks to ensure stock of supplies and equipment, regularly update the equipment tracking log, place replacement requests when necessary and document part expenditures.
• Clearly document service paperwork and OSHA safety guidelines as required and adhere to policies and procedures while complying with the company's information security standards.
• Take pride in sustaining a safe and clean working environment for the ground ambulance maintenance team and ground crew.
• Use appropriate communication methods to help facilitate coordination of efforts between departments, vendors and team members.
• Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as your fellow mechanics and operations team.
