Job summary

Meigs Transport in Wisconsin is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, maintain, and repair our fleet of Class 8 trucks. You will work on heavy-duty engines, fuel systems, electrical systems, and other mechanical components to keep vehicles safe and productive.

Candidates should have a High School diploma or equivalent, plus an Associate/Technical certificate in automotive or diesel technology. Prior experience in heavy highway construction is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate's degree or technical certificate in automotive or diesel technology, maintenance or repair.
• 3–5 years experience on Class 8 trucks preferred.
• Prior heavy highway construction experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain fleet of Class 8 trucks (heavy duty).
• Diagnose and repair class 8 trucks (heavy duty).
• Communicate effectively to ensure efficient repairs are made.
• Evaluate truck performance.

# **Build Your Career at Meigs Transport!** The Mechanic is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing company vehicles and equipment.
