Role Overview
As a full‑time mechanic, you will perform maintenance work and truck repairs in accordance with factory and industry standards. You will run diagnostics on vehicles, communicate and work closely with team members to meet company goals.

Responsibilities
- General inspection of vehicles, trailers and equipment; run and analysis diagnostic testing; minor and major repairs on trucks and trailers.
- Conduct regular preventative maintenance on service trucks, including inspections, tire rotations and oil changes.
- Apply knowledge of ABS systems, suspension, steering, leaks, wheel alignment, balancing and electrical systems.
- Inspect and replace bearings, lights, brakes, coolant.
- Maintain parts inventory and request purchase orders for necessary items.
- Collaborate with team to diagnose problems with vehicles and plan repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of each repair performed on vehicles.
- Coordinate with external repair shops.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Must be available for weekend rotations.
- Must have mechanical tools.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a diesel mechanic.
- Valid Class B driver’s license; Class A is a plus.
- TWIC card preferred.
- ASE Diesel Certification preferred.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl and climb; lift items up to 50 pounds; climb stairs and ladders; work in confined spaces; wear personal protective equipment, including respiratory protection.
- Excellent interpersonal, conflict resolution and written and oral communication skills.
Physical and Mental Requirements
The employee must be regularly required to talk and hear, stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl and climb sometimes; lift or move items up to 50 pounds; frequently climb stairs and ladders; may occasionally deal with heights; wear PPE; work in both office setting and physical jobsite; work in confined spaces when needed.
