Job Description:
The Internet Car Lot is now hiring an automotive technician to add to our growing team! We are a very successful, locally owned and rapidly growing company who have been in business for 20 years! We just moved into our brand new state-of-the-art Service Center in downtown Omaha this year and are seeking techs to join our team! We maintain a fleet of over 800 vehicles that is growing in size daily! The Service Center features a huge mechanics shop, a full body shop, huge detail center, a photo booth for listing our vehicles for sale and more all under one roof! This facility serves as a hub to service vehicles for our Omaha, Council Bluffs and Lincoln dealerships. We also offer retail customer work as well. There is never a shortage of work! We are seeking a very knowledgeable, hardworking, sharp, energetic, motivated technician with integrity.

Responsibilities Include:

1. Diagnose and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, air conditioning, etc.
2. Explain mechanical diagnoses and required repairs in a non-technical manner to service advisors
3. Perform basic care and maintenance including oil changes, alignments and tire rotations
4. Repair (disassemble and reassemble parts) vehicles in the allotted time as estimated
5. Keep the shop clean, organized and presentable
6. Use testing equipment to ensure repairs and maintenance are effective
7. Identify mechanical problems, often by using computerized diagnostic equipment

Qualifications:

1. Automotive Technician experience: 3-7 years
2. ASE Certification is a plus
3. Technical degree is a plus
4. Drivability/Diagnostics
5. Have full body mobility
6. Good time management skills
7. Ability to lift up to 50lbs
8. Ability to work on your feet for extended periods of time with your hands above your head
9. Valid driver’s license with good driving record
10. Must have own tools and a locking tool box
11. Honest and great work ethic
12. Reliable transportation to and from work
13. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test
